SUMMARY:

MANAGES PRODUCT-SPECIFIC TEAM LEADERS

DUTIES:
•MAINTAINS TEAM JOB RESULTS by coaching Team Leaders; documenting when necessary team quality of work, behavior and attitude; planning, monitoring, and appraising team results; empowering teams with greater job responsibilities as needed; demonstrating professional conduct at all times; holding regular unit meetings; and applying the principles of success.
SUSTAINS STANDARDS FOR TEAMS by implementing systems and coordinating procedures with Team Leaders; consistently striving for better customer service; upholding laboratory policies and procedures
    •ENSURES GOOD CUSTOMER RELATIONS by reviewing and acting upon doctor comment cards; contacting doctors via telephone, mail and email.
    •MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE by continually developing knowledge of all laboratory products and restorations; attending group meetings.
    •PROMOTES A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT by making sure that staff has gone through safety, infection control and hazard materials training; maintaining safe practices throughout the department.
    •MANAGES TEAM EFFECTIVENESS by balancing case-flow and distribution amongst teams; securing coverage when a Team Leader is out, if necessary.
    •FACILITATES TEAM COST EFFECTIVENESS by monitoring and minimizing team waste through analysis of department productivity reports and other pertinent reports

    REQUIRMENTS:      
    Strong people, organizational and communication (written and oral) skills with a minimum of one year as a Team Leader and six years in all related technical specialties of a dental laboratory.  Candidate must have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email

    ADDITIONAL:         
    Self Starter - Ability to work alone - Desire to achieve additional levels in this discipline. Good sense of humour - Enjoys life - Works well with others - Willing to learn and share information with others – Will work to drive costs out of the business through good work ethics, managing your time, equipment maintenance, and material costs   

    COMMENTS:            Some overtime will be required.
