FullDentureDT - L1 - Full Denture Dental Technician - Level 1

SUMMARY:

Under Supervision - Working towards doing complete set-ups, clasping, and final occlusal adjustments on all cases.  Working to achieve competency level in all of the following as directed by supervisor:

DUTIES:
•Set articulators, selects and sets up teeth using sheet wax, lathe motor and   hand pieces according to specific client requests.
•Prepares all try-ins for final processing by checking bites, post damming models, etc.
    •Bends all clasps and does soldering operations by using pliers and electro welder or soldering torch.
    •Processes specialized attachment cases and implants cases.
      •Processes light cured composites to special removable cases.
      •Maintains stock levels for this position, keep work area and equipment clean and tidy.
    •May be required to assist with their job functions, which could be on a temporary basis in same job rating level or lower.
    •May be asked to work overtime at certain peak periods during the year.

    REQUIRMENTS:      
    The work requires the knowledge of dental materials, techniques, anatomy and aesthetics, must understand how to use all dental articulators and equipment in denture department.  The work requires a high level of hand/eye coordination and technical expertise.  Candidate must have two year college or technical school education, or a minimum of 2 years experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have good working knowledge of occlusion and be knowledgeable in all cosmetic forms and measurements.

    ADDITIONAL:

    COMMENTS:            Some overtime will be required.
