We are seeking an experienced Fixed Dental Laboratory Department Manager to lead our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL. This role is ideal for a proven leader in the dental laboratory field who thrives in a supervisory position, ensuring efficiency and quality across the entire production process. With less emphasis on benchwork, this role focuses on managing workflows, optimizing team performance, and delivering exceptional results in both digital and analog dental prosthetic fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor a team of technicians to meet production goals.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Manage schedules and workloads to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery.
- Production Oversight:
- Oversee the entire production process for fixed dental prosthetics, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency.
- Troubleshoot and address production issues, stepping into benchwork as needed.
- Maintain strict adherence to laboratory standards and client specifications.
- Workflow Management:
- Ensure seamless integration of both digital and analog workflows.
- Develop and implement processes to optimize production efficiency.
- Monitor quality control throughout each stage of production.
- Dental Implants Expertise:
- Apply in-depth knowledge of dental implant cases, including abutments and full-arch restorations.
- Collaborate with clinicians to ensure accurate and functional implant-supported prosthetics.
- Stay current on implant-related technologies and materials.
- Technical Expertise:
- Stay updated on advancements in dental lab technologies, materials, and techniques.
- Provide technical guidance and training to the team.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a dental laboratory setting, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of dental implants, including abutment design and implant-supported prosthetics.
- In-depth knowledge of digital workflows (e.g., CAD/CAM, 3D printing) and analog techniques.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage teams and workflows.
- Ability to perform benchwork as needed to support production.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining the highest quality standards.
