Job Title: In-House Hybrid and Implants Dental Lab Technician – CDT Preferred
Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 per year for a CDT with analogue and digital workflow hybrid experience eligible for higher compensation, Non-CDT starting salary will be lower ($50,000-$70,000) based on skills at working interview, but company is willing to pay for CDT and would increase compensation once obtained.

Job Summary:
A high-end, full-arch digital dental laboratory within a specialty practice is seeking an experienced Hybrid Dental Lab Technician to join our esthetic-focused team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality dental prosthetics and restorations, ensuring precision and efficiency while adhering to the highest industry standards.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and quality-conscious professional with at least five years of experience in removable and digital dentistry. The role requires a strong understanding of form, function, occlusion, and contour, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must be proficient with processing, framework and all other steps for analogue hybrid cases. Willing to train on the digital workflow if someone does not have that experience. We are also willing to pay for the right candidate to obtain their CDT which will also result in a pay increase once obtained.
Responsibilities:
- Manage individual dental cases from start to finish, including creating wax replicas and fabricating prostheses and devices from impressions.
- Construct, replace, and repair dental prostheses with a focus on high-quality outcomes.
- Utilize 3Shape technology to scan, design, and fabricate digital dental prostheses.
- If candidate has Exocad experience, they are willing to purchase it.
- Troubleshoot dental prostheses issues, leveraging your knowledge and expertise to resolve problems independently.
- Manufacture and finish all dental prostheses to ensure smooth, timely deliveries for patients.
- Document all processes and communicate clearly with dentists to ensure successful case outcomes.
- Provide shade checks and conduct patient interviews to customize prosthetics for specific needs.
- Offer chair-side services and supply records for outside offices as needed.
- Maintain supply inventories and ensure a clean, organized lab environment.
- Perform equipment maintenance and cleaning as required.
- Support the prosthodontist with lab and clinical needs.
- Collaborate with other lab technicians to ensure efficient workflow throughout the lab.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies.
Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in data entry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to consistently provide high-quality patient care.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a removable dental technician (Required).
- At least 2 years of experience with CAD/CAM technology (Preferred).
- Certified Dental Technician (Preferred).
Desired Skills:
- Proficient with 3Shape technology for scanning and designing prostheses.
- In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and morphology.
- Experience with sintering, staining, and finishing zirconia restorations.
- Strong computer skills for organizing files and self-learning new programs.
- Experience with Miyo (a plus).
- Expertise in full arch/mouth reconstruction.
- Familiarity with contemporary restorative materials such as zirconia and lithium disilicate.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional manual dexterity and precision.
- Experience with photography (intra-oral and bench top) is a plus.
