Reports To: The Fit, Stain & Glaze Technician will report to the Fit, Stain, & Glaze supervisor
Job Overview:
The Fit, Stain, & Glaze Technician is responsible for providing fit/finish of crowns prior to moving the crowns to the ceramists.
A successful Fit, Stain, & Glaze Technician has great attention to detail. Proficiency crowns, bridges, and implant abutments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Review prescription and supporting documents.
• Fit crowns to die.
• Fit crowns on models by adjusting the mesial and distal contacts.
• Adjust models to ensure accuracy of articulation and bite.
• Adjust occlusal and incisal clearance or if reduction coping is required.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Willing to advance his/her skill set and knowledge in order to grow with the company.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge in dental anatomy and terminology is a plus.
• Experience in a dental laboratory is a plus.
• Ability to read cursive writing.
• Must have computer skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
• Critical thinking.
• Communication skills, as you will be working with technicians and doctors to produce a
high-quality restoration.
• Organization as it relates to case management.
