Objectives of this Role
· Digitally design and fabricate all manners of dental appliances with an emphasis on quality
· Manage the workflow of IOS scans sent from the customer to the manufacturer as well as the removal of the 3D models from printers and miscellaneous digital department tasks
· Time management of all manufacturing requirements in the digital department
· Review each Rx in detail; inspect all work to ensure all quality standards and client requests are being met
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
· Work with the existing CAD team and learn and implement best practices in 3D printing, post processing, and finishing of appliances
· Speak with doctors on design and material topics, presenting best treatment options, material knowledge, and directions for use in a clinical setting
· Learn and implement 3Shape and/or exoCAD software and ensure design protocols are being followed
· Assist in sorting incoming cases from manufactures, scan triple tray impressions and export cases in a timely manner
· 3D printing digital models; removing and cleaning finished print jobs from various 3D printers
· Designing custom abutments
· Communicate daily with Digital Manager about any defects or issues related to quality specifications and/or internal and external client requests or requirements
Skills and Qualifications
· Experience in a similar field
· Knowledge of dental anatomy
· Strong computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining quality work
· Knowledge of PTC methods and procedures
