SPECIALTY UNIT: Dental Technician Stain & Glaze
LOCATION: Oldsmar, FL / Tampa, FL
Pay: $20.00 – $28.00 hr
JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent
Objectives of this Role
- Make and repair dental appliances with an emphasis on quality, margins, consistent contacts, occlusions, and custom shades according to the Rx from the dentist
- Review each Rx in detail; inspect all work entering and leaving the lab to ensure all quality
standards and client requests are being met
- Communicate daily with the department manager about any defects or issues related to quality specifications and/or internal and external client requests or requirements
- Utilize PTC methods and company quality and work instructions
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Meet daily unit target
- Verify completion and accuracy of work
- Work closely with internal clients to understand their requirements, and ensure that all requirements are being met
- Finish- finish the metal or zirconia products and make them ready for the opaque, build, and ceramic processes; add anatomy to the finished metal
- Polish- polish and make ready all products for final inspection
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in a similar field
- Knowledge of dental anatomy
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Tech I- Someone with little dental lab knowledge and experience
- Tech II- someone who has earned multiple operations or has mastered their position
- Tech Ill- someone who has learned many/all operations and has mastered at least one
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of PTC methods and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining quality work
