Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Die and Model Department Manager for our dental laboratory. This position is responsible for overseeing all operations related to die and model production, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality control in all processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in dental laboratory workflows, a strong understanding of dental anatomy and materials, and proven leadership abilities to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations in the Die and Model department, ensuring timely and accurate completion of cases.
  • Manage and train staff, providing leadership, mentoring, and feedback to ensure high performance and technical proficiency.
  • Implement and monitor quality control standards, ensuring compliance with laboratory specifications and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and ensure effective communication for seamless production processes.
  • Troubleshoot any technical issues related to die and model production and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and ensure timely ordering of supplies.
  • Ensure the department meets production goals while maintaining a high standard of quality and precision.
  • Maintain documentation and reports on department performance, tracking key metrics such as turnaround times and error rates.
  • Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and integrate best practices into department operations.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a dental laboratory, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within the Die and Model department.
  • Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, die trimming, model pouring, and related laboratory processes.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with dental laboratory equipment and software.
  • Familiarity with dental materials and techniques, including the handling of plaster, stone, and die materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in dental laboratory technology or a related field.
  • Experience with digital model scanning and 3D printing technology.
