JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

Job Description:


The Finishing Technician is required to read, comprehend, and fill prescriptions provided by the dentist. The instructions are used in conjunction with a previously processed removable appliance, such as a denture or flexible partial. The technician will smooth to the correct contours and thickness required for that particular product. The technician is also responsible for the final highly shined finish and cleaning of all debris from denture impression trays and case pans before sending to Final Quality Control.

Skill Levels for Finishing Technicians: 

Skill Level 1:

  • Grinding bites on dentures
  • Divest models from dentures
  • Finish acrylic cases full contour
  • Polish acrylic cases
  • Seat cast partials and acrylic partials
  • Hard and soft nightguards
  • Minor repairs/acrylic
  • Understand myotatic outline
  • Shell-blast acrylic cases


Skill Level 2:

  • Rubber wheel flexibles
  • Polish flexibles
  • Polish implant cases/acrylic
  • Bend wrought wire
  • Flippers
  • Weld repairs
  • Process partials using pour technique
  • Process duplicate dentures
  • AEDs to completion
  • Relines/acrylic (hard and soft)
  • Repairs/complex
  • Fabricate thermoflex clasps
  • Divest all flexible and acrylic
  • Fabricate single-unit temporaries
  • Prep teeth on rebase dentures
  • Unilateral partials


Skill Level 3:

  • Finish flexibles
  • Repairs on flexibles
  • Seat and polish implant bar cases
  • Fabricate multiple unit temporary bridges
  • Process attachments into dentures and partials
