Our office is currently seeking a full time Orthodontic Technician to join our team. We are a state of the art orthodontic practice utilizing digital scanners and 3D printing technology. The practice is truly the future of orthodontics and is growing very quickly!
POSITION SUMMARY
Under direct and indirect supervision, the orthodontic technician will assist the Orthodontist in both administrative and clinical duties including: prepare patient for procedure or exam, remove orthodontic ligatures and wires, assist in bonding brackets, assist in the fabrication of quality orthodontic products, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist during dental procedures. Provide patient and practice support services, including, but not limited to instructing patients on oral hygiene, recording treatment information in patient records.
The position will also require lab duties such as fabrication of dental appliances/retainers, 3D design/prep and printing.
EXPERIENCE
Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments.
Must provide great customer service/patient care.
Orthodontic experience is preferred. We are willing to train.
Experience with direct patient care in the dental field is a must.
Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings.
Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing 80%.
Sitting 20%.
Frequent bending, twisting, and position changes in order to examine and service patients.
Exceptional hand eye coordination and control in order to use dental implements for exams, to provide dentist assistance, and print and/or place materials on dental tools, products, and in mouths.
We are open to see patients during the following times:
Tuesdays: 7am – 3pm
Wednesdays: 7am – 3pm
Thursday: 11am – 7pm
Fridays: 11am – 7pm
2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month: 8am – 4pm
